Rose Colored Glass

The Rose Colored Class is a cozy wine tasting room featuring only Nebraska made wines and microbrew beers. We have over 60 wines to choose from, so there is sure to be something to suit your palate, whether you prefer red, white, sweet, or dry. The Rose Colored Glass is open for wine tasting Fridays and Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 9:00 P.M. or by appointment. While enjoying your favorite wine, have an hors d' oeuvre plate with locally made meats, or a piece of homeade cheesecake. Sunday thru Thursday we are available for private parties. If you would like we can prepare a meal of Swedish cuisine for you group.

The Rose Colored Glass is located in the Historic Victor Anderson Building. In 2010 the century old uilding was on the receiving end of a notice declaring it a public nuisance. It's come a long way since the City declared it a public nuisance, to being restored to its' original glory. In addition to the Rose Colored Glass, it also hosts The Townhouse, a unique gift and home décor store, Frocks and Flowers, a clothing boutique and plant shop, and a Swedish Gift Corner.

When the building opened on June 7, 1913 the top perimeter of the building was adorned with electric lights. After being dark for over 80 years, the lights have been restored and 100 years later on the day, June 7, 2013 the crown of lights were relit and now shine brightly whenever the building is open. As you enter the building original maple floors greet you along with remnants of original rose colored leaded glass windows which have been incorporated into the interior design. Relive the history of the Victor Anderson Building, and Stromsburg, through old pictures placed throughout the building.

Step back in time and sip wine in the Rose Colored Glass or shop in one of the buildings fine shops.
