Destination Stromsburg

The men who laid out the town of Stromsburg so many years ago had planned wisely. A central block was set aside for a city park, on the four sides of which the business houses were built. The city park continues to be a monument to those who foresaw the future and is a great asset to the town. The park, established in 1873, is surrounded by original brick paved streets and buildings built in the early 1900's; many of which were built with bricks made in one of Stromsburg's two brick factories around the square. Many of the following businesses reside in the century old buildings.
