Frocks and Flowers

Sells woman’s clothes, scarves, jewelry, and accessories. We also sell fresh flowers and plants, yard art and gifts. We also sell Swedish gifts.

Makes flower arrangements for all occasions.

Is unique in that it combines a woman’s clothing boutique with a flower store and Swedish gift shop.

Dana Andrews moved to Stromsburg from Denver, Colorado in 2010 to operate the Scandinavian Inn Bed and Breakfast, the only bed and breakfast in Stromsburg. When Bob Berggren purchased and renovated the Victor Anderson building in 2011 and a space was available for a store, Dana decided to open a woman’s clothing boutique and flower shop because of her longtime interest and passion for both clothes and flowers. The Swedish gift shop was added in 2013 because of a need in Stromsburg, as the Swede Capital of Nebraska, for Swedish gifts.

We are located in the Historic Victor Anderson Building that was build in 1913 and renovated into stores and a wine room in 2011.

The hours are Monday thru Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The store is located at 405 Commercial and the phone number is 402-764-6655.

They have a facebook page that displays current clothes for sale in the store, recent flower arrangements that have been made, as well as upcoming events.

Frocks and Flowers is of interest to tourists because of its unique combination of clothes, unique yard art and Swedish gifts. The clothes are one of a kind and not the clothes found in large department stores. Clothes come in all sizes from small to 3X. The yard art is fun and many pieces of solar art is available. Swedish gifts are of interest to many tourists but especially those attending the Midsommar Swedish Festival held the third full weekend of June every year.
